Correct Solideer they WERE key word there is were. Past tense not surprising that you are focused on that you continue to live in the past rather than looking to the future. You like the PPP and the PHENC are stuck in a time wwarp and you wish to take the rest of us with you but it wont happen.

Many people in the AFC were from other parties but they saw the light and realized that both of those relics are dead ducks with communists and dictators abound. Thus we are creating a new future for the youth of this country and will create a new dawn. Stay tuned solideer stay tuned.

BS,

You talk about the PNC and PPP being corrupt. Let me let you into a little secret. The entire population is corrupt in one way or another. The politicians are a reflection of the people who support them. Your All Fools Congress party is but a few years old but they are no different from the PPP and PNC. After all they were educated, trained, and indoctrinated by the masters. Perhaps you can enlighten us on the source of the AFC funding. We would all like to know who paid Dick Morris. What happened to the Dick’s prediction for the last election? I believe the PPP won more votes than the PPP and PNC combined. Go ahead and tell us why the Trotman discarded Gaumattie Singh like last year’s newspaper when it was time to seat her in Parliament. You keep squealing like a stuck pig about corruption in the PPP and PNC but I wonder why your All Freaks Commission is not storming the country with your accusations and bawling you message in the Parliament to inform the Guyanese voters. Do you think that you are changing many minds in favor of your Alliance For Corruption party with your infantile diatribe? Perhaps you should spend more time telling people why they should vote for your party instead of why they should not vote for the PPP and PNC. We already know why we should not vote for the PPP and PNC. Please consider taking your show on the road to Guyana and give a few performances on the ground. I have been a lifelong PNC supporter and am still waiting to hear why I should consider voting for the AFC. Most Guyanese believe that the AFC is the son of the PNC.

i miss those bananas, the man think gas price will remain the same.
the cost of production will be proportional, it's like sailing without a sail.

he is waiting of the forest compensation to distribute or subsidize the fuel cost, then, maybe we will see the future.

I disagree with you on the AFC front for several reasons one, the AFC was the only political party that has stood up to jagdeo.

The ad placed in the newspaper in Trinidad enlightened many outside of Guyana the plight we are in because of Jagdeo and clearly put jagdeo in a box to the point where he came back and was hollering the ad was paid for by drug traffickers. only when the AFC put the ad invoice in the newspaper he shut up. So the AFC is not toothless as you put it.

The AFC is the only party to have come up with a detailed FOI bill that they built consensus through consultations with everyone in the caribbean and pulled it together, what did Jagdeo do? he promptly threw it out and is creating his own.

The AFC is getting major support from several areas across racial lines much much more than many believe. Quietly there are a ton of people joining the AFC. I for one was never an AFC supporter. I was strongly entrenched in the PPP's camp and i used to light fire under hoyte for some of his approaches. So that is that.

The AFC is the only alternative to the PPP and the more guyanese start realizing this the better off they will be.

Many people who claim the AFC is not an alternative usually have their own agendas. Remember in the political arena more often than not people vote against one particular party never really for x or y.

Just as I cautioned you soldier, no it is not about anyone telling us anything the question I posed is what has the PPP done for us the past 17 years. Please tell me man, convince me for a change why I should vote PPP.

You tell me why I should vote PPP or why anyone should vote PPP I just gave you several reasons why I feel we shouldn't vote for them.

Soldier stop and answer my question, enough with your questions you are not larry king.

The first paragraph in this article tells a story Samaroo,,,The faster Guyana realizes that Caricom is a waste of time it is better for Guyana,,,Mr Lawrence and Caricom is all about talks and when this meeting is over they all go back to their countries with business as usual... Fighting for themselves...Your information are always onesided Samaroo,,hundreds of Guyanese are returning to Guyana every year they are being allocated houselot and plots of lands and massive constructions and businesses are being opened, if you can take the black cloth off your eyes and stop looking Tokyo going London, you will see this and you will not want anyone to give you one major initiative that the PPP introduced...While you condemn you should introduce some of your AFC's policies that will take Guyana what you call forward and encourage the voting populace to vote for you,,or you can read Mohamed I Ally 's comment at the bottoms and settle your nerves...

Brandon, it is all that and then some! The mixture of corruption and political allegiance must also be taken into account. You cannot get much done unless you bribe your way through in Guyana, and if you are going large scale, you have to be politically aligned. Guyana is right now coming to the end of a dead end street; either it crashes or it makes a U-turn.

The Jagdeo Initiative is a paper initiative and not something you can depend on to make happen, because of the amount of politicis and corruption.

Look, one former bauxite official who went to work at World Bank write a missive exposing the large number of farmers in Guyana who borrowed millions of dollars after the PPP returned to power in 1992 for various projects, but after they reaped their sowings, they took their money and ran to Florida, refusing to repay their loans. Those are now bad loans, but the actions of these farmers represent what is wrong with out system politically and economically. It is all screwed up.

I will be honest with you, Brandon. My son is currently in Guyana doing a one-year stint of voluntary work and I am looking to buy real estate in Guyana.

I think I am mad to have a holiday home in GY because I am convinced that I will be attacked and killed there but my homeland will always be my homeland.

Mr Lawrence said that he is “totally unhappy” at the pace with which the Jagdeo Initiative has progressed commenting that there is a general feel of a lack of commitment to the sector. Well done Mr Lawerence but you know, I am sitting here in Kent, England and I already know that.
You must now tell us what you are going to do to convince Mr Jagdeo to forget his forest preservation program and empower agriculture. Now THAT WOULD be something new!

Our agriculture minister observes that Guyana is food-secure while the region is not; so why is it not possible for Caricom to agree protocols where Guyana feeds the region. It was done in the past and it is a logical next step. Is this a CAN DO Caricom?

When Mr Lawrence suggested that while actions need to be taken at a national level, they should be harmonized region-wide; he is of course right however the devil is in the detail and whilst nations must work to protect their voters; Caricom must try to harmonise Caricom-block activities for the betterment of all.

If the Caricom officials want to be taken seriously instead of being accused of being a party-extravaganza club, then they must be seen to be fair to all of their members and that each member state gets ECONOMIC BENEFITS from membership of a united Caricom.

The PPP will continue to thrive once the opposition continues to be in disarray.

The PPP will remain in office if the collective opposition cannot get its act now- once and for all.

The PNC has failed its supporters. Corbin now threatens Norton to sue for libel.

The PNC is like a dead dog. The AFC is like a silent and barkless dog- slowly dying. The other opposition parties of Ravi Dev et al, look like they dead a long time ago.

Jagdeo and his cronies will rule this land for as long as we do not have a viable, vibrant and vocal political alternative.

Freddie Kissoon alone is making a significant contribution unlike all the opposition parties put together.

The sad reality is that Guyana is also dying- very fast.

Jagdeo has no credibility. You think Caricom leaders can trust him. Look what he did to them and the EPA. You want them to take another chance with him again. Think them leaders want Jagdeo cuss them out or pick up his marbles and walk away from the game when he not winning on his terms. Dem leaders not stupid and trusting like the PPP supporters.

One of the things those "usual suspects" will triumphantly point out is that there is no viable alternative to their party right now; look at PNC and even AFC. And your message that Guyana needs a drastic change if it is to get on the right track to prosperity and peace will be lost on them as they focus narrowly on maintaining political control even if it means at the peril of the country's survival. For them it's all about political control.
