I agree with U 100% that the military should know Guyana from top to bottom.
The thing is, are the “powers that be” willing to foot the bill for any increased/extended surveillance operations by the military, or is it going to be business as usual with those petty events we call patrols?

The government very know whattaing place…..Guyana is riddle with drugs and you can find it on every corner.

Before the Lethem/Brazil Bridge everyone new what was taking place on the Berbice Cattle Trail. People living in Guyana especialy in Berbice new that you could go to Lethem using the Berbice Cattle Trail. Its a pitty some of them wild zebo that rome the trail don’t come out during landing.

Berbice needs an aviation department with radar monitors to detect illegal planes.

of course! there are numerous drug runnings all over guyana! remember the airstrip which was uncovered near Orealla and the burnt aircraft? Well apparently investigations are still continuing. The police force has a squad of some of the biggest sailors, they make popeye and jack sparrow look like amateurs!! The police always clueless and never catch anybody. They should be renamed the “Guyana Investigation- is- all- we- do force”. T

Guyana will continue to be a transit point for drugs ,since we can’t and do not have the manpowwer or technology to properly monitor our land ,water and airspace.As the gov’t remain passive , the drug lords will definitely outdo our gold miners ,who will be forced to join them or quit out of the mining business. This is what it now boils down to ,unless the gov’t can get the necessary foreign help to properly monitor our air ,land and water ways .

now it starts to make sense. very unsual for a ‘gold miner’ to take a Hummer thru that terrain. the police should take in the two persons that were with Persaud the day he was murdered for further questioning. this time enquire about the nature of his gold operation, if there was any at all!
This whole cocaine thing will have a serious backlash. I hope the govt is prepared for it.

Fine man gang, business man ambushed and murdered, aviation fuel discovered, reports of drug planes landing on the road, what a colossal coincidence that all this is unfolding along the Unamco Road.

Everyone in Guyana, apart from the Govt. GDF and GPF knows of the lawlessness that occurs in out interiors.
One would think that these police stations would be equipped with adequate 4×4 vehicles, but so far this continues to be wishful thinking…….. what a shame!

This just goes to show that illegal activities are taking place in areas where no law enforcement is present, and the residents knows where it’s happening yet the joint forces won’t seek them out for information, maybe mr. persaud was doing something he wasn’t supposed to be doing when he was attacked in that area.
