Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson remanded to prison a security guard accused of assaulting his wife, when he appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court to answer to the charge.
It is alleged that on Tuesday, at Georgetown, Andrew Griffith, 47, of 3422 Stevedore Housing Scheme unlawfully assaulted Dyan Griffith so as to cause her actual bodily harm.
The matter was called to the bench and a lengthy discussion ensued.
Griffith was remanded and ordered to appear in court on Thursday. Additionally, a probation report was ordered into the matter.




Take them away from society and when the return to society put them under supervision…..the time for beating and battering is over.
Superviion must be for minimum four years and during this time they must attend school to learn to read and rite.
Well done Ms. Robertson deal with these men when they come before you.
Every story has 2 sides, and I guess that is what the “Lengthy Discussion” was all about. We have got to stop pretending that women are angels and place the responsibility for this behavior on both parties. Until this is done we are going nowhere with this problem.
