The new Guyana Marketing Corporation recently acquired a $4.9M refrigerated truck to transport produce from farms to processing facilities.
This move further underscores notional efforts to boost the non-traditional crop sector, a Government Information Agency (GINA) press release said. The truck will transport produce from farms to the packaging, storing and processing facility and then to the point of exportation.
“A small service fee will be charged,” for maintaining the vehicle, GINA said, though this service will also be highly subsidised. It said too the vehicle was purchased from JAC Automobile of China and handed over to the GMC on Wednesday.

The communists are continuing to prop up the horrible corporations from Burnhame’s days rather than providing incentives for private businesses to engage in providing these services.
No wonder Guyana is stuck in never never land……
SN this is news? Sn needs to stop falling prey to GINA and its propaganda
GMC is a failed entity and I challenge its managers to counter that.
