That was then, this is now. I was a strong supporter of
the last President of the United States in his first term.
Go to any Village on the West Bank of Demerara and ask about
McAllister, do you know "WHY" he's not at UG anymore Bull ?.

Hi "fola smith" dear, just so you know that I am here on this forum about "serious business"; and, in as much as you cannot find it possible to accept the job offer... perhaps, you can retain the contents for future consideration. And, "sick" or "dead" the People's National Congress (PNC) will attract a few good "physicians" or "morticians". Welcome to the world of the "Living Dead" thanks to the big business "Body Steelers...." ROFL!

Lest we forget not so long ago when Stabroek News (SN) was on life support - compliments of the current Government Administration.

Also, "Stay in region 11 a little longer, this time around, please. That will ensure that you don’t have to worry about who will buy your return ticket...." Omigosh! Do ya mean dat not even de "M. V. NIS" will be available to enable stranded folks like yours truly to make the return trip across the Atlantic Ocean. Whoooaaahhhh!

BTW, here are some of my favorite words from a certain song - "Don't Cry For Me Argentina...."; and, you too like so many millions around the world are free to change your "allegiance" to the little flag beside your name once you pass the tests and other requirements; or, perhaps you have your eyes on "Barbados" instead - huh!

Peace!

Yasuman. Napoleon also said. "It is with baubles that all men are led." He loved to give awards. And, when there was peace for a time he was frantic."We have peace? This is worse than war. I can never tell whenever peace will end." That is, unless he ends it.He was a great general. His record of battles. Six won and six lost. The question. Should he have stayed at home then? The jury is out on this one.

The membership of the PNCR needs to neutralise this politics of survival by a select group within the leadership of the party. The PNCR have witnessed a progressive decline under the leadership of Robert Corbin and the distinct marginalisation of the party. There is an apparent growing attack on the intelligentsia within the party, while the PNCR is being reduced to irrelevance under the astute leadership of Robert Corbin. The question one must ask! How long will the party continue along this path of irrelevance, neglecting the interest and well being of Guyanese at home. Isn't it the opportune time for the Party leader to do some self examination before the next Biennial Congress!!!!!
To become effective the PNCR needs relevant leadership with the appetite to assimilate the necessity for change. Guyanese are ready for relevant and credible leadership to restore hope and economic opportunity. I strongly urge every member of the PNCR to rise up and advocate the change within, to restore the image of the PNCR at home and abroad. There is still time to take Guyana back through a collective effort with relevant and credible leadership.

Region 3 also has not hosted a conference in about 3 years. But my guess is, one will not come off before congress. Afterall, Corbin has to achieve his objective by returning as Leader and chaging the current 'sunked ship' executive in that region will not work for him.
It is funny though, that while at last congress, when it was assumed that Norton was on Corbin's side, there was no call for a district conference (not with the Alexander faction's obvious influence on the district anyway) Now that Norton is perceived as an opponent, Corbin has been very instrumental in getting rid of him. Oh, the theatrics of politics.
All hail the king! The king is dead!

Kaieteur Gold, you are one funny little thing. I like the fact that you add humour to the seriousness of the PNC's condition. Stay in region 11 a little longer, this time around, please. That will ensure that you don't have to worry about who will buy your return ticket. lol
Have a great day, my friend.
And no, thank you, on the job offer.

West Bank, you seem to have a problem with McAllister. Explain why you feel he expired. These wild statements by someone who just a few months ago was irrationally in support of Corbin cannot be allowed without clarification. Expose McAllister.

Re: "And please Kaieteur Gold, when he goes, you follow...."

Oh no dear heart, some lead the way, some follow while others drop out all together. So, try to expand your vision/horizon some more and you will understand that after Region Ten comes Region Eleven; and, the world is the playing field for some like yours truly. You appear to have some extra time at hand... How about working for my company for U.S. dollars with the possibility of international travel involved.

"It is not worth an intelligent man's time to be in the majority. By definition, there are already enough people to do that" - G.H. Hardy

At times a particular decision by a leader (decision-maker) may not reflect the sentiments of the majority which may ultimately be in the best interest of that nation. Case in point - the American presence in Iraq (so as not to allow the enemy to follow American Fighting Forces home); and, as to why persons outside of the People's National Congress feels that they have a right to make decisions for that party then any man can walk off the street and enter another man's house and tell him how to run it.

So, how about letting the People's National Congress run it house and run your own party the way you wish it to run and mind your own business sometimes.

This distasteful trend need to be neutralised by the PNCR's membership. It's is with deep regret that a select group within the leadership of the PNCR have not recognised the wind of change has come to Guyana. How long must Guyana continue to suffer at the hands of self interest and individuals with select agendas????????????????? It is time for the likes of Robert Corbin etal. to recognise that Guyana is in desperate need of RELEVANT LEADERSHIP!!!!!!. People who can assimilate the history of the party and the need for politics of inclusion. The need to change course and rise above self preservation. The PNCR will only evolve to become relevant with new leadership in Guyana. There creating new respect at home and abroad. I therefore urge the delegates who will deliberate and consider the future of the party's leadership at the upcoming Biennial Congress in August, to consider the future of party. Since the assumption of Robert Corbin to the leadership of the PNCR, we have seen a gradual decline of the effectiveness of the party representing the national interest. The intelligensia of the party is under constant attack, it is time to reclaim the party from it's current destructive path of cheap politics.

"Fola Smith", you have said inter alia: "Hoyte had a different vision for the party: one that embraced youth and development. If the party was to survive with fossils only then the current state it is in would not have been...."

Please answer this question honestly. Did you listen to the presentation by "Desmond Hoyte" that was made at the Third Biennial Congress of the People's National Congress that was held in 1979; or, did you read same. And, if you did and you are educated enough then you would have realized that the "Desmond Hoyte" you are talking about might not have had the slightest clue about some of the things that he was reading about.

FYI, I am an British educated and trained Materials Technician/Technologist; and, that is how I know (and, authoritatively so too) that the "Desmond Hoyte" you are talking about would have been clueless about some of the contents of his presentation.

Nice try though.

Re: "Kaieture, if you don’t know what I am talking about just ask instead of being exactly what you are accusing me of. The party is dying, hence kicking the bucket. Too bad you failed to realise that..."

Guess you are de self appointed "medical practitioner" and authority. So, how low is de "PNC party's" pulse - eh "Papa Doctor"!!!
