The US military and local professionals are hosting several medical and dental outreach clinics as part of New Horizons Guyana exercises.

According to a press release the clinics will be held at various locations countrywide and are free and open to everyone. They will be held for two-week periods then change locations. The dental clinics will be held from Monday to Friday weekly until August month end.

The Skeldon Medical Clinic starts on July 21. It will be held until July 23 then a second clinic will be held from July 25-30. Both clinics will be held from 8 am to 4 pm.  The general practice clinic is open to adults and children and will entail optometry exams and the prescribing of glasses. Limited dental examinations and extractions will also be done. The clinic will be held at the Skeldon Hospital.

Meanwhile, the Georgetown Dental Clinic will start on July 20. It will be run by American military professionals alongside locals. Dental exams and fillings will be done. The clinic will be held at the Diamond Secondary School from July 20-24 and July 27-31 from 8 am to 4 pm.

The release said the group is a joint task force of American military members.
