The Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) says the broken water main at the unoccupied lot on Blue Berry Hill has been fixed and is now fully operational.

In a press release GWI said the Linden Divisional Office had been addressing the matter for some time and repairs had been completed on Tuesday.

The company said in such matters its aim is to rectify the problem immediately in order to prevent wastage and measures have been implemented to ensure that such an occurrence would not recur.

GWI apologised to affected residents for the discomfort and inconvenience.

The release came following a report in Tuesday’s edition of Stabroek News on the main.
