I would be a professional police officer my dear friend Rennie.Maybe you should go to canal No.2 and help the people there.Canal No.2 was never like that.The people at Canal No.2 were very good people.However,the Police have no right to beat up on people and we do not know who killed the former PPP member.Time for the POLICE FORCE TO BE PRIVATISED.PPP must act now.Get a private agency to run the police force.People must not support the PPP blindly.A member of the police force was caught robbing a resident in the Canal Polder.Talk half and lef half.

I dont know wot u guys getting so steamed up about! Its not as if u haven’t heard of the guyana police and GDF officers breaking the law before. Its been happening for decades, under the PNC and PPP ruling.Like the man said, sit in the stench long enough and its no longer a stench!
No, this is more reflective of a society full of frustration and lacking in hope, a desperate society!! They are all at it, ministers, judges, police, priests and yes, of course the congregations too!

if it is true that P Morrison is the divisional commander then i can assure all here that she is a woman of integrity .I know her well of working with her so i think we should all wait for the investigation to present itself.I think the entire police force need to be taught that you can succesfully investigate matters without torturing the accused.

This should have been breaking news in guyana a prisoner is release after been held for over a week and no injuries something is wrong here I had to pinch myself he did not get rough up from all the other news story over the years I gather that the only method the guyanese cop used to get confession is blows and more blows or maybe because the story about the torture of the other accused they decide to lie low if so the people need to exposed the police some more everytime the used excessive force I would like to know if this sherley thomas is my friend who used to work as a reporter with kaieteur news would like to help her could you check for me moderator thanks.

The Guyana Police Force is simply inefficient and as a result the police officers are beating prisoners and people on remand.Many police officers got very rich despite low salaries in the police force.Would these policemen love to be investigated and beaten.
