While the President lost no sleep while criminals and other others died during the ‘drug wars’, he was still sleeping when the orders were given to execute criminals, knowing that 33 AK47 were missing. They had Fineman and ‘Skinny’ both cornered and no one woke up to change the orders to capture a them alive to get info on the missing weapons and all their cohorts. We are now seeing the result of all the top brass not losing sleep with dozens of assault weapons still missing.

some of you just come on here and type some things and you dont even know what the guyana airport look like.I think the person that is accusing the police force of being politically motivated and affiliated to the PNC need to check his facts again.I have many close friends that are former members of the police force and can tell you that since 1992 there has been a lot of political intervention from the current administration to hamper justice .If the force was all PNC too many things would not have been allowed to go on.I think you need to know that its not the PNC put Greene where he is nor if the force was PNC there would not have been a Roger Khan we all know he would not have even been on the streets to run his own force.

from all this hog wash story from Greene it is clear to say the police force need a new commissioner.I think the commissioner has not a clue of what is happening and we all know that the force has its own elements that are capable of doing anything to distact the guyanese public from the torturing of the young man.

Gerhard, I disagree with your remarks.Let me tell you why.Government had/have all right to reject those funds.I am sure you like many people took loans or credits from banks.Does the Bank tell you how to spent monies loaned to you?If the Brits does not trust the Government then it should say so.The Guyana Government have every right not to trust the Brits for what it had done to an entire nation.Must that be forgotten?Those in the very police force can do the job of catching most criminals in Guyana but some are too politically motivated and are affiliated to PNC.I say this and have no qualms saying it because you should be old enough to know it.You also have know that our disciplined pledged their allegiance with PNC.One thing you said right and that is we can not call on same to solve the crimes committed by the same people over and over again and it’s bound to backfire on citizens of Guyana.Perhaps the Government does not see it or does not want to see it.Perhaps they love the status Quo.You are a strong advocate of opposing Government but going about business the wrong way.Is this how you intend to change things in Guyana should your political party come to power in Guyana by asking the Brits for money to let it come in and do whatever it wanted to?Be reminded that it was the very Brits that did Guyana in along with the United States of America where our CARICOM brothers/sisters just sat on the side lines and said nor did absolute nothing.

This is really the acts of lawless bandits who are trying to intimedate and create havoc for the GPF and joint services. They have to be caught or else they will try to perpetrate the same crimes as the previous gangs that roam wantanly before. I do not know how much the US can help in the short term. The local police have to develop real intllegence to undermine such terrorist groups and gangs. I am not certain they (GPF) have the know how, equipment or budget to handle such situations. There is where outside help may prove worthy. Luncheon, this is why it was important to strike that security deal with the Brits. Shame on the Jagdeo govt for dropping the ball again. For too long now people in Guyana have been living their lives on the edge, not knowing if they are in line as the next victims of the lawlessness that going on in our dear land. Time for this to stop. Seelall, Green and the Commadore of the Army has to put heads together to come up with a quick solution. PEACE.

Funds? You speak of funds? What about the 1.6 Billion the Gov’t just rejected from the British?!

Then you say you hope that those who planned and supported this would be arrested? By what Police Force, one that today has little semblance of professionalism? All we have had in recent years is the gunning down of criminals and no answers. Yet we keep hearing of string-pullers, and at the same time the Disciplined Forces are praised for killing without seeking any answers to who these persons may be!

Why are we then surprised when these events reoccur? How could some us be so blind and keep demanding the same unprofessional conduct from the Forces, when clearly, not only this is not working but backfiring on our citizenry as well?

The Guyana government set the stage for this kind of violence that’s taking place in that country. First they used a criminal/druglord to help fight crimes, second they have the police/joint service/prison officials acting like gang members with no discipline and respect for on one, and last u have young people walking the street not going to school because their parents cannot afford to send them. Gov’t must do more for its children and change the way the residents are being treated by people with authority.

Now this on the heels of the torture case by the foolice on a teenager.
