It not time to point fingers just yet. Let us get to the bottom of this. We know that we have an incompitent Government. I had trusted Jagdeo to do reasonable job. He is smart intellectually but, politically he has major short comings. The ball is in the hads of Green and Seelall to solve these crimes. We cannot afford to allow this situation to get out of had like the Fine Man saga. Take the bull by the horn and give the GPF what ever tools are needed. I am not sure that we can get much outside help after the degrading remarks from Luncheon rejection of the deal with the brits. God help Guyana.

If some of you know anything about Guyana, you’ll know that the burning of the Registry would be a major set back for the Government and people. This public place keeps duplicates of Property Transport, Wills and other vital records of interest. The Registry also serves as an archive that is key to regulating certain transaction; millions in tax revenues are collected weekly thanks to the function of this department.
No government would want to loose millions in collected taxes.

Well said. I would like to invest and create jobs for Guyanese in Guyana, but the current government makes it very difficult to do so. I hope the next gov’t (not the PPP) can encourage better progress and better management in Guyana.

this is how the police is backward. the left a vehicle that they claimed was positively identified as being in a crime. how laughable this is. this vehicle should have been towed to the station to be tested and searched for forensic evidence. commissioner green you should do the honorable thing and resign. same guyana the ignominy of shame by your incompetence.

People who see these recent attacks in Guyana as a fitting retaliation against the government and its current policies fails to realize that these acts create an even more fragile future for the country. When we look at most countries around the world that are in turmoil, we’ll see that their state of being all started with irresponsible, rebellious actions against government and its citizens ; similarly to that which is happening in Guyana.
Another observation about most “Resistance” fighters is that their purpose is execute political or radical religious agendas. Government and its institutions are usually the prime targets.
The planners of the current and past destruction in Guyana are well hidden. Their motive is more than likely political as suggest by their constant efforts to destabilize the country or create a state of fear and division.
Constant change is necessary in every country especially a developing one like Guyana; however, if destruction is the tool used to bring about change, a transformation far worse than the current state may result.

Who is that better person might you suggest Smart R usppl. It reminded me of a storey I read when I was in primary school. It is called Belling The Cat. There was a really bad cat that strikes terror in the house where all the mice lived and they want to find a way to alert them when the cat is coming to catch them. So they called a meeting to figure out a way, one of the mice said what if we tie a bell around the cat”s neck so that when he is coming the bell would ring and that would give us enough time to scamper away to our holes.With that idea all the mice thought it is very brilliant and begin to celebrate when an old mouse yelled. He said which one of you would volunteer to tie the bell around the cats neck. With that there was complete silence.No one was prepared to do it
