Allison Hinds ready to jump off

Barbadian Soca sensation Allison Hinds has promised that those patrons who turn out next Saturday at the National Park will be truly entertained.  Hinds is slated to be the feature artiste at an event dubbed as the “Mash Jump-off”.

The concert will also see several of the leading local acts such as X 2, Big Red, Vanilla, Shelly G, B52, Brutal Jammers and others performing.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday via teleconference, Hinds said that patrons can expect a good sweat out as she will be dishing out a mixture of her old and new songs as she entertains in her usual high energy style. It will be a “great show”, she promised.  She said that her marriage and the fact that she is now a mother has not affected her ability to entertain and emphasized that her ability to gyrate and entertain remain her trademarks,  something which will be evident come Saturday.

The concert has also been dubbed as one that is truly Caribbean in nature, by its coordinator Kashif Muhammad. He said that the event is a tribute to the nation as it celebrates its 39th Republic anniversary and urged all to support. He emphasised that the entrance fee for the event was kept at a minimum – $1000 – so that Guyanese could have an opportunity to come out and celebrate. This is not about making money but it is about the people of Guyana, Muhammad said.

The gates will be opened from 4 pm, music will start blazing at 6 pm and the concert will start at 9 pm and will go until 3 am. In addition to the Kashif and Shanghai organization, the event is also being sponsored by Digicel, Carib, El Dorado and Caribbean Airlines.
