Next Sunday Tony’s Place, Pouderoyen, West Coast Demerara, will come alive when Cinderella Promotions hosts a grand ‘Fathers Day Extravaganza’ which will see a number of musicians entertaining.
The event is being held as part of the promotion group’s commitment to “moulding responsible fathers” and show time will be 8 pm.
A release from the group said that too many fathers are abandoning their responsibilities and this creates a “sore problem for society” and contributes to the deviance among children.
Next Sunday’s event will feature musicians who have been playing since in the 1960s along with recording artists of yesteryear. Those slated to perform include Mark Bryan of “Sharon, Sharon” fame, Pato Gonsalves, Pamela Gittens, Otis Holder, Ras Karvo, Cyd Hooper and Conan Marshall.
But preceding the show there will be a football game played between an under-15 team from Pouderoyen and Cinderella Promotions Positive Vibes Football Club. The game will be played on the West Demerara Secondary School ground. The match is also planned to entertain fathers and their families.
