QCOSA hosts quiz night

Are you’re smart, knowledgeable, well read? Do you have friends that are similarly gifted? Are quizzes your thing?

If your answers to these questions are yes, then maybe ‘Quiz Night’ may appeal to you. On July 3, the Queen’s College Old Student’s Association (QCOSA) will host a quiz competition at the Dutch Bottle Café on North Road. Starting time is 7:30 pm.

The event will take the form of a team competition, where groups of 3-8 persons will compete against each other. Participants are being advised that the bigger the team the better the chance of winning. Contestants will have to compete in seven categories including a multiple choice round of five questions.

Each participant is required to pay a fee of $500. Attractive prizes will be up for grabs.

President of QCOSA Neville Burke says that the funds garnered from this event will be used to rehabilitate the school’s library. The association is aiming to raise enough funds to purchase more up-to-date materials.

Persons interested in participating are asked to contact either Sharon Kreuter at sharind@yahoo.com, Mizana Gonsalves at shammah@networksgy.com, Diedre Davis at diedre_davis@hotmail.com or Cristel Cheong at crischeong@gmail.com.
