Style Mission to focus on Archer Home

Sonia Noel’s charity event, Style Mission 2009, is set for December 10 at the Pegasus Hotel and the focus this year is on the Archer Home.

20091128modelsIn the past Sonia had raised funds for Joshua House, but shifted focus this year to senior citizens. She disclosed in a recent interview that Archer Home was selected because of its long-standing good reputation and the quality of work that the staff offers.

“I was so amazed at the incredible spirit within that place. The people are really something, but what is more important is how good the staff are,” Sonia said after visiting the home recently.

Sonia is of the opinion that senior citizens are not treated with the respect they deserve and she mentioned her own grandmother during an interview with The Scene saying that senior citizens have done “their part” but are greatly overlooked.

The show is by invitation only, but Sonia indicated that the public will have a chance to access passes through the internet and radio programmes by answering questions related to her work. In addition to her collection Style Mission will feature designs from the Climax label, Shawn and Shurland James, Marcia DeSantos, Loriann Jacobs, Shedell Burchsmith and Carol Martindale.

Sonia noted that many sponsors were onboard and she praised them for supporting the event including the  Pegasus for offering the hotel without any cost attached.
