Three women who are neighbours were each placed on $20,000 bail by Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson on Tuesday after they each pleaded not guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm.

Joanne James, 24, and her mother, Jaclyn Mootoo, 44, of 25-26 D’urban and Creen streets allegedly on January 7 at D’urban and Creen streets unlawfully assaulted Debbie Griffith so as to cause her actual bodily harm.

And Debbie Griffith allegedly on the same day and place unlawfully assaulted James so as to cause her actual bodily harm.

The women are to return to Court 10 on February 18.
