Old-age pension increase now in effect

Old age pensioners will receive the 6% increase on the monthly allowance given by government from this month.

Old age pension will be paid at a rate of $6,600 per month and public assistance at a rate of $4,900 per month, according to the Government Information Agency (GINA). Over 50,000 elderly and otherwise vulnerable beneficiaries receive direct income support monthly.
