Mings Products, Yamaha Motor Company host training session for motorcyclists

The training programme sought to inform riders of safe riding practices as well as to help them to better understand how to manoeuvre their bikes.

The training required drivers to identify and avoid dangerous situations or obstacles that may suddenly appear when riding.

Meanwhile, Philippe Verones the Yamaha Safety Instructor said that while many riders are good often they throw caution to the wind and Yamaha’s Safety Riding Academy reinforces the importance of riding safety through a step-by-step programme.

CEO of Mings Products and Services Limited Stanley Ming pointed out that the Academy works with motorcycle owners. He lauded the programme which he said he too had benefited from in his earlier years when it was first introduced by the Guyana Police Force (GPF). Ranks from the GPF’s traffic department, individuals and staff from Mings attended the session. Verones and two other instructors from the programme conducted the training.

One participant told Stabroek News that while the training was challenging he learnt a lot and plans to share the knowledge with his colleagues. Sherry Mars, a participant and Mings staff sad the session was informative and equips the rider with the knowledge to prevent accidents.

Another one-day training session will be held at Parika at Mings premises for All Terrain Vehicles.
