Trio in court over Albouystown ganja find

Roy Miller, 18, of Hadfield Street, Jarel Edinboro, 17, of Albouystown, and Devon Schultz also of Albouystown had all entered not guilty pleas to the joint charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

They all denied that on February 10 at Non Pareil Street, Albouystown, they were found with a total of 308 grammes of cannabis in their possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Their lawyer Sasha Roberts had applied for reasonable bail for them on the grounds that the  cannabis was found at the back of a house lot that her three clients were in at the time and not on their persons.

However, Prosecutor Shellon Daniels had objected to the bail applications on the grounds that the narcotics was found in the presence of the trio. She said that two sets of cannabis were found in difference places.

Advice is to be sought from the Director of Public Prosecutions in the matter.

The trio is scheduled to make another court appearance on February 16.
