Three men on bike held with guns in NWD

Two unlicensed guns and matching ammunition were intercepted near Eye Lash Backdam, North West District on Tuesday after police ranks searched three men on a motorcycle.

In a press release yesterday, the police said that around 21:00 hrs, police ranks on patrol stopped and searched the men and found an unlicensed 9 mm pistol with one round and an unlicensed 16-gauge shotgun with five cartridges.

The men have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with investigation.
