Teixeira and Lumumba monthly salaries top $1.3M

Two advisers to President Bharrat Jagdeo together earn a monthly salary of over $1.3 million.

In a written response to a question posed by Alliance for Change Member of Parliament, Sheila Holder, Prime Minister Samuel Hinds stated during yesterday’s sitting of the National Assembly that Presidential Adviser on Governance Gail Teixeira earns a monthly salary of $800,962. Meanwhile, Presidential Adviser on Empowerment Odinga Lumumba earns $516,457 per month.

The aforementioned figures translate to Teixeira earning some $9,611,544 annually, while Lumumba earns approximately $6,197,484 annually.
