Fake Elizabeth Style hair dressing being sold

The Government Analyst Food and Drug Department is advising importers, distributors and consumers to be on the lookout for a fake Elizabeth Style product that is currently on the market and to refrain from purchasing it.

In a press release the Department said the authentic product is manufactured in India by SinghFam Cor-poration of lot 127 Harbor Road, Port Washington, New York. It said too the product called Elizabeth Style Hair Food MFG LIC # C374 is authentic while one with the number MFG LIC # 1172 is the fake.

Also, the authentic Elizabeth Style Bergamot is produced in a white container with a yellow label, red cover and net wt 200g. The fake product is sold in a yellow container with a blue label and white cover. It has net wt of 100g.

The Department said the genuine product has the manufacturer’s name and country declared as India, has a manufacture date displayed on the rim of the cover and has the purpose of product stated on the label. The label does not feature a tree logo.

On the other hand, the phoney hair dressing has no manufacturer’s name but it does boast India as the country of origin, it has no date of manufacture and has no purpose of product stated. It also has a tree logo on the label.

The Department therefore advises the public to be vigilant when purchasing the product and to report or submit the fake product to its office located in the IAST Building at UG’s Turkeyen Campus.
