Streets to be closed Monday for kite flying

Several city streets will be closed to vehicular traffic on Easter Monday between 09:00 hours and 20:00 hours to facilitate kite flying activities.

Police in a press release yesterday advised that on Carifesta Avenue, traffic will proceed east only between Camp Street and Vlissengen Road; vehicles travelling along JB Singh Road will not be allowed to proceed beyond David Street; Camp Street from Carifesta Avenue to the Seawall road will be closed to traffic as well as Rabbit Walk between Young Street and the Seawall road.
The Seawall road from the second entrance of the Pegasus Hotel to JB Singh Road will be closed to vehicular traffic, no vehicles will be allowed to proceed east on Thomas Street while those travelling north along Albert Street will not be allowed to proceed beyond Woolford Avenue.

Motorists desirous of entering the National Park are required to use the Carifesta Avenue entrance.
