A 28-year-old man is now a patient in the Burn Care Unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was doused with hot water by his paramour.
Satish Brijpaul, of Parika, is reportedly suffering from 3rd degree burns to 15% of his chest and face.
His relatives told hospital sources that the man refused to tell them under what circumstances he suffered the burns and who burnt him.
However, this newspaper was later told that the man was burnt by his paramour with hot water following an argument.
Brijpaul’s condition was described as stable.
