No one has been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of Eccles, East Bank Demerara businessman Junior Richards whose body was found in his home with injuries to the head on Wednesday morning.
According to a police source, investigators are pursuing several leads as the circumstances surrounding the man’s death are being examined and investigations so far point to robbery being the motive.
Richards, owner of Le Rich Guest House on Princes Street as well as several businesses in the city, was discovered face down with several wounds to the head in his bedroom around 10 am on Tuesday by an employee. Reports are that the 49-year old man’s house was ransacked and blood stains were spattered in his home when his body was discovered.
A post-mortem examination was expected to be carried out on the man’s body yesterday.
