Plaisance man on $25,000 bail after denying gold band theft

A man was granted $25,000 bail after he was charged with larceny from the person on Friday.
When he appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson, Edison Noel denied the charge that on December 22, 2009, he stole a gold band valued at $60,000 from Anannah Slowe.

Noel, 24 of 47 Prince William Street, Plaisance, told the court that he had no knowledge of  the crime and that he had been approached by Slowe’s father who had accused him of the crime.
He was granted bail and the matter was put down for May 12 in court 10.
