Duo with gun, ammo arrested at roadblock

Two men were arrested yesterday after an unlicensed gun was found in a pick-up they were travelling in at Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke/Linden Highway.

Police, in a press release, said that around 01:30am, ranks at a roadblock stopped and searched motor pick-up GLL 6622. An unlicensed 9mm Smith and Wesson pistol with eleven matching rounds were subsequently found. Two men were arrested and are assisting with investigations, police added.
