Three hurt after ambulance crashes

A driver and two attendants of the Georgetown Public Hospital were injured after the ambulance they were in crashed in the vicinity of the University of Guyana Road on the East Coast this morning.

The driver, Sandor Walcott, sustained a broken right leg. He is currently being treated at the GPH. Walcott reported that the ambulance “just seize up and flip and he get pin”. This is according to Walcott’s mother.

Information so far indicates that the driver and the attendants were the only persons in the vehicle at the time. The ambulance was travelling towards Georgetown. It is unclear where it was coming from.
