A fire this morning destroyed a two-storey home which also housed an electronics store at De Willem, West Coast Demerara leaving two families homeless and millions in losses.
Seenarine Sitaram said that he also lost $2.3M in cash in the fire which started around 9:30 am at the 111 De Willem home. They did not save anything as the entire family was at the seawall at the time, engaged in a religious ritual. He said that their losses amounted to millions.
Shaun Nabiyah-bi the owner of the SD Computers and Security Systems said The Fire Service is investigating.
