Manufacturers reaching out to overseas investors

-point to problems hampering businesses

The Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA) has been reaching out to several countries in an effort to attract investors and capital, its President, Clinton Williams, says and he also pointed to a range of problems hampering businesses.

With the manufacturing sector showing flat growth for the first half of the year while the services sector recorded growth of 2.7% for the same period, Williams said that the GMSA’s short to medium term objective is to substantially increase the sectors’ contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
