A spring tide advisory is in effect and the Sea Defence Unit of the Public Works Ministry is advising the public to take all necessary precautions during the period.
The spring tide began yesterday and is expected to last until next Monday. “The predicted tide indicates above normal levels for the impending period”, a statement from the Ministry said. It said that persons living in low-lying areas are asked to take extra precautions during this period.
