Three dead after T&T robbery

(Trinidad Express) Three men are now dead following a robbery at a grill shop in South Trinidad.

Larry Bissoondath, an employee of Slims Homestyle Grill Shop in Rousillac, and the two unidentified men from Maloney who robbed the food place are now dead.
Police reports state that shortly before midday, two men entered the grill shop and announced a hold-up.

The food establishment was robbed and as the two men walked away with a bag containing the cash, an alarm was raised by the owner of the business. The police were called and all units were alerted as several employees, including Bissoondath chased after the bandits along the main road.

One of the bandits fired his weapon and Bissoondath was shot.

The police, who were not far away, arrived on the scene and a confrontation took place between the police and the bandits. The bandits fired at the police, the police returned fire and both men were shot.

They were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Bissoondath was also pronounced dead at the hospital.
