Dear Editor,
My letter concerns the craziness of GPL. For the past 3-4 weeks when I dial Sophia 22-64016 I no longer can get directly to someone working there, which I have been able to do for the past 30 years. Now I am connected to a voice recording (exactly like the GT&T complaints) which says “All our agents are busy, please hold.” I have timed myself and have held on for more than 15 minutes without getting through.

I would like the executives of GPL to tell me if I have an electrical problem like low or high voltage – which has already happened in this area – or if there are sparking wires, etc, who I can contact for help.

Before this annoying voice recording was installed, I could always phone 22-64016 for help to report an electrical fault, etc, and they were very efficient in taking my complaint and getting in touch with the crew who would fix the fault.

I would be grateful if you could forward my letter to someone in the GPL executive and hope they would be able to correct this utter nonsense.

I would like to mention that the Sophia employees and the ‘crew’ have been very courteous and efficient.

Yours faithfully,
Elaine Radzik
