Wrong wharf for cruise ship

Dear Editor,
We would like to register our dissatisfaction on an error in the caption of a photograph of the cruise ship ‘Vistamar’, which appeared on the front page of your Friday March 12th issue, stating that the vessel docked at the Guyana National Industrial Company wharf instead of the Guyana National Shipping Corporation limited.

This is not the first time your newspaper has made an error of this nature and we would appreciate if you can ask your reporters to ensure that they spell our Company’s name correctly, when reporting on any matter concerning us, as it causes us loss of any gains that would accrue to us when an incorrect name is used along with some embarrassment depending on the reported item.

We would also appreciate if you could issue a statement correcting the report in the next issue of your paper.

Yours faithfully,
E. Oudkerk
Manager
Guyana National Shipping
Corp. Ltd.

Editor’s note: Stabroek News regrets the error.
