Essequibo operators should put sheds on their speedboats

Dear Editor,

I would like the Minister of Public Works, Mr Robeson Benn to use his powers to require the speedboat operators on the Parika-Supenaam route to put sheds on their boats. Last Saturday travelling to the Essequibo coast, a group of US visitors experienced rain and rough waters coming into the speedboat.

I later learnt that there are two shed boats operating in the area, but they have to use the turn system. The Minister should allow the shed boats to work on a time schedule daily, and see that the speedboat operators put sheds on their vessels.

Yours faithfully,
Albert Nurse
