$500,000 up for grabs in tape-ball extravaganza

The Guyana Tape-ball League (GTL) Twenty20 tape-ball cricket tournament bowls into action on February 7 with teams competing for $500,000 in prizes with the winner walking away with $200,000 and a trophy.

Teams from the Georgetown, East Coast, West Coast and the East Bank of Demerara areas are eligible to participate.

According to an executive in the GTL each zone will be played in its own geographic location with the semi-finals and final being played in the capital city.

Team are required to pay $6,000 for their registration and can contact Kurt on 643-4618 or Shane on 686-2647.
