The Stag first division 2009-2010 league which is organized by the East Bank Football Association (EBFA) resumed last Sunday with two games at the Grove Playfield.

Yarrowkabra FC drew 2-2 against the league leaders Timehri Panthers in the first game of the double-header while Grove Hi-Tec needled Soesdyke 1-0 in the second game.

Goal scorers for Yarrowkabra FC were Ruel Reece and Wayne Campbell who scored in the seventh and 47th minutes respectively.

The opposition’s main scorer was Hubert Adams who recorded a double in the 50th and 73rd minutes. 

In the second game Grove Hi – Tech defeated Soesdyke Falcon’s 1- 0 with John Matthews scoring the decider in the 53rd minute.

League action will continue on Sunday at the same venue with Kuru-Kuru Lions battling Soesdyke Falcons at 1pm and Mocha Champs going head-to-head with Kuru- Kuru Warriors at 3pm. (KB)
