England’s Sidebottom ruled out of Bangladesh tour

CHITTAGONG, Bangladesh, (Reuters) – England seamer  Ryan Sidebottom has been ruled out of the test series against  Bangladesh because of a thigh injury, coach Andy Flower said.

“Sidebottom is ruled out of the tour because of the injury  that he had picked up in Dubai. He will be replaced by Tim  Bresnan in the test side,” Flower told reporters.

Sidebottom aggravated the injury in the first one-day  international in Dhaka and was replaced by off-spinner James  Tredwell in the second match.

England, who lead the three-match series 2-0, also have  injury worries over Stuart Broad and Graham Onions for the  two-test series which starts on March 12.

Broad has been ruled out of today’s third ODI with a  lower-back problem while Onions, who has joined the squad for  the test series, is also being treated for a back issue.

Middlesex pacer Steven Finn has been called into the squad  for the remainder of the tour as cover for Broad and Onions,  Flower said.
