Sinclair, 258 n.o,  Fudadin, 150,  pound Skeldon

A double century from Jason Sinclair and a century from national middle order batsman Assad Fudadin helped Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets team to a massive victory over Skeldon when the Georgetown Cricket Board (GCB) National Three-Day Tournament continued in the Ancient County.

Sinclair’s 258 and Fudadin’s 150 enabled Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets team to rattle up 540 – 5 declared.

They then dismissed Skeldon for 84 and 197, to win by an innings and 259 runs.

Sinclair, who retired on 258, blasted 30 boundaries and six sixes while Fudadin was run out, after striking 15 fours and four sixes.

The two shared a fifth-wicket partnership of 226 runs.

Lloyden Lewis scored an unbeaten 50, Eon Hooper contributed a sterling 30 and Dominic Rickey and Lenny Sanichar both made 25 each while medium pacer Junior Reid took 4 – 140 for Skeldon.

When Skeldon batted, George Nauth top scored with 37.

Ravi Narine (3-23), Lewis (3–2) and Terrence Madramootoo (2–8) were the principal wicket-takers for Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets.

Batting a second time Nazim Khan top scored with an aggressive 79 which included 14 fours and a six. He received support from Junior Reid (35) and Junior Blair (20).

The 15-year-old off-spinner Lewis completed a fine all-round performance grabbing 6-49 while Fudadin supported with 2 for 42.

At the Albion Cricket Ground, Port Mourant led Scottsburg United on first innings and is in a strong position to win outright. Scottsburg United batted first and scored 211 with national under-19 captain Anthony Bramble top scoring with 45.

Off-spinner Rajendra Bolo took 5 – 48.

Opener Moshin Peerkhan then blasted a belligerent 165 which included 24 fours as Port Mourant declared on 339 for 7. Chrisendat Arjune was not out on 57 while Devindra Thakurdeen supported with 35.

Facing a deficit of 128, Scottsburg United reached 95 for 3 in the second innings with Bramble on 65 not out.
