The Guyana Football Referees Council will this week-end stage a course for referees.

According to a release from the GFRC, the two day course will be held tomorrow and Sunday at the Carifesta Sports Complex, Thomas Lands from 9am each day.

Participants will be brought up to date on topics such as the laws of the game, match control, positioning, the elements of fitness, team work, cooperation and dealing with the media, the release stated.

Former FIFA referee Roy Mc Arthur e and Lawrence Griffith, FIFA and FA trained referee instructor and assessor, will be the facilitators of the course.

Courses will also be held in Linden March 20 and 21 and in Bartica on March 27 and 28.

Persons in the respective areas who are desirous of becoming referees can contact any referees in their respective area or they can call the office of the Guyana Football Federation on 22-7 8758 or Griffith on cell phones 621- 6986 or 691- 3899.
