Round three of the Inter-County Castrol Under-15 limited-overs tournament continues today with Essequibo clashing with Berbice at Enmore Community Centre ground from 09:30 hours.
The Essequibians have already been beaten twice in their own back yard by Demerara in rounds one and two. In the first match Demerara beat Essequibo by 61 runs and in the second match they suffered a 114-run defeat. In match one Demerara scored 198 runs and in the second game 194 with Kadesh Yadram top scoring with 61.

In Wednesday’s match Tagenarine Chanderpaul missed out on another half century when he managed 49. He got support from Terrence Alsrtom who made 38 and captain Brian Sattaur who contributed 31. When Essequibo replied they were quickly wrapped up for 80.

Demerara bowler Devon Lord got four wickets for 24 Vishan Narayan returned miserly figures of 3-5 as they conspired to bowl out the youngsters from the Cinderella County in 37.1 overs.

Berbice will be playing their first game today and then tomorrow over at the Uitvlugt ground against Essequibo before they take on defending champions Demerara on March 15 and 16 at the Enterprise and Demerara Cricket Club ground respectively.
