The selectors of the Demerara Cricket Board have named 27 players to participate in trial matches Thursday and Friday at the Police Sports Club ground Eve Leary from 10am each day.

At the end of the trials the Demerara team to participate in the upcoming Inter County tournament will be named.

The players have been divided into two teams which will be led by Deanie Sewnarine and Joann Van Sertima respectively.

Sewnarine’s team:- Deanie Sewnarine  June Thomas (wicketkeeper), Ahasa Thompson, Anganee Lallbachand, Pernelle London, Letitia Myles, Prudence Williams, Nalini Sumintra, Donette Ritchie, Oneka Wallerson, Renika Isaacs, Latoya Smith, and Knox Lakesha.

Van Sertima’s team:-Joann Van Sertima, Lashanie Toussaint, Shireard Emerson, Arlene Gayle, Asena Mohammed, Victoria Bacchus (wicketkeeper) Jocel Joseph, Abena Parker, Akisha Odai, Tracey Glasgow and Zaheeda Samdally, Heema Singh, Nesha Khan  and Shankia Estwick.
