Who’s Who in Guyana’s Powerlifting team

The fourth annual IPF/NAPF Caribbean Islands Bench Press and Powerlifting Championships get underway tomorrow at the Princess Hotel, Providence, East Bank Demerara.

And Guyana’s 16-man team has a good chance of taking the team chances as was expressed by Master’s lifter John ‘Big John’ Edwards when Stabroek Sport spoke with him yesterday.

It is also hoped that competing at home will work to the team’s advantage. Stabroek Sport also believes that the team needs all the support it can get. And therefore it is important that the public is au fait with the lifters representing the country.

Following is a brief profile of the Guyana team except for Ryan Williams.
