The 2nd Annual Cheddi Jagan Memorial 50 Miles Cycle Road Race organized by National Cycling Coach Hassan Mohamed is set for Sunday on the West Bank of Demerara.

The race is scheduled to start at 9 am from Wales Police Station, then to Bushy Park before returning to the Demerara Harbour Bridge for the finish.

The events scheduled are Junior, Veteran, Upright, over 60 yrs Veteran and Ladies.

Prizes will be awarded to the winning contestants and Prime prizes will be won during the course of the race.

The defending champions in this event are Christopher Holder finishing in one hour, 57 minutes, 23 seconds, Kennard Lovell in the Veteran’s category and Dexter Wilson, the Upright title.
