—-Trophy Stall wins inaugural GT&T 10/10 tourney and carts off one million dollars
Trophy Stall took home the $1 million first prize after they comfortably stopped Crabwood Creek Unstoppables by 51 runs in the final of the GT&T 10/10 cricket tournament last night at the Everest Cricket Club ground.
Trophy Stall batted first after they lost the toss and racked up 115-5 in their 10 overs before they reduced the Unstoppables to 64-7 in their allotted overs. Man-of-the-match Fazal Rafeek of Trophy Stall made 34 (3×6, 1×4).
He received support down the order from Randy Ketwaroo who made an unbeaten 36 (3×6, 1×4).
When the Corentyne side batted, their top scorer was Joshua Garnett who made 28 (2×6, 1×4) while Darshan Chitahar chipped in with 19 (1×4, 1×6).
