ICC World Cup Twenty20:Tournament Director presents Sport Minister with “Bring It bat” bat

With approximately 30 days before the start of the ICC World Cup Twenty20 tournament in the West Indies, Tournament Director Robert Bryan paid a courtesy call on Sport Minister Dr. Frank Anthony yesterday at his Main Street office to present him with a personalized “Bring It” bat.

ICC World Twenty20 West Indies 2010 Tournament Director, Robert Bryan, presents Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Dr. Frank Anthony with his personalized “Bring It” bat.

The bat is the second of its kind to be given out in the Caribbean.  Jamaica’s Minister of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports Olivia Grange was the first recipient of the bat.

At  Minister Anthony’s office yesterday Bryan noted that although the ICC WT20 matches will be played in four countries the event belongs to the entire region.

Anthony’s bat which has “Frank Is Bringing It!” inscribed on the blade is a replica of the giant bats that have been erected across the four host nations (Barbados, Guyana, St. Kitts and St Lucia).
Pledging his support for ICC WT20 WI 2010, he placed his latest memorabilia prominently among various awards and other  memorabilia which he has received over the years.

The Caribbean will be hosting its second ICC World Cup event within three years. Other islands have also been included in the promotion so that all may have a taste as the ‘Bring It’ fever countdown starts on April 1.
