The remaining quarter-final matches of the annual Mayor’s Cup Knockout Football Tournament will kick off tomorrow at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground from 6pm.
In the first encounter Santos will match skills with Seawall FC followed by the feature match-up between Western Tigers and Conquerors from 8pm.
The Sherman David captained Western Tigers will be looking towards a flawless performance in this loser-go-home tournament against the experienced Conquerors side which includes former national player Neville Stanton.
Seawall FC are going into their match-up on a high after eliminating defending champions Pele in the previous quarter- final match and if they repeat their performance against Santos they should get the same result.
It is notable that mistakes are costly and lead to upsets after top teams Compton and Alpha United were booted from the competition and the tournament is expected to get tougher as the quarter-finals come to an end and teams upgrade their performance.
The semi-finals are scheduled to begin on Friday, May 14.
