The former National Under-15 batsman was recognised for his outstanding performance throughout the recently convened Inter-County Under-19 Tournament where he showcased his brilliant off-spin bowling tactics and right-handed batting techniques.

Chairman of the Special Events Committee Hilbert Foster lauded Chattergoon’s leadership of the team. In his address at the award ceremony, Foster said over the last three years the BCB has never hesitated to recognise outstanding players of Berbice teams. He challenged the young cricketer to continue to be disciplined and committed as these qualities will help him to resist the social ills of the modern world. A declaring medal and a bicycle valued $16,000 was presented to Chattergoon in recognition of his accomplishments.

In an invited comment, the MVP thanked the BCB for their devotion and pledged to persist in making the county of Berbice proud with his performances on and off the field.

BCB Treasurer Anil Beharry, Secretary Angela Haniff and President Keith Foster also gave speeches at the function. They too advised Chattergoon to remain disciplined and to heed the advice of his elders.
