GFF Super League

Action in the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) National Super League continues today with three matches in Linden and Berbice.

At the Mackenzie Sports Club ground, Bakewell Top XX tackle Buxton United in the curtain raiser of a double header at 6pm then Milerock go head to head with Liquid Gold  in the feature match from 8pm.

At 4pm Victoria Kings oppose second place holders Rosignol United at the Blairmont Community Centre Ground.

Rosignol United are on 14 points and trail Alpha United (22points) by eight points while Victoria Kings is fourth with 12 points.

Milerock stands seventh on the points standings with nine points and are ahead of Liquid Gold who have seven points and are currently in eighth place.

The league continued on Friday at the Georgetown Football Club Ground (GFC) with Camptown squeezing past Seawall FC 3 – 2 in a nail-biting encounter.

Neither of the two teams was able to score in the first 45 minutes of their encounter but after the 15 minute break the game became quite interesting.

Seawall FC drew first blood in the 57th minute compliments of Kempe Agard then national player Rishawn Sandiford found the equalizer for his team in the 61st minute.

Camptown’s Ryan Oselmo then gave his team the lead when he scored the first goal of his brace in the 75th minute then not long after Zevon Atkinson scored in the 84th minute to equalize for Seawall.

However, Oselmo got an opportunity to regain the lead for his team and exploited it to the fullest when he found the back of the net in the 87th minute.
