Camptown, Liquid Gold in GFF Super League clash

Sunburst Camptown, currently seventh in the point’s standings with 10 points, will engage Liquid Gold when the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Win in CONCACAF with CONCACAF Super League continues today with three matches at two venues.

Leading Camptown’s challenge will be the combination of Nigel Codrington and Devon Forde. They will be assisted by mid-fielders Troy Prescod and Lance Raulston.

Marshalling the defence will be Orlando Gilgeous and Leon Muir with Richie Richards performing duties between the uprights. Responding for the Barticians will be Whitney Welcome, Vernon John, Dwayne Duke, Hamley Martindale, Rondel Washington and Kurt Welcome. The match will be played at the Georgetown Football Club ground.

Over on the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground, Linden, from 6pm in the curtain raiser of the double header Bakewell Topp XX on seven points play bottom of the table Seawall F C on three points. At 8pm in feature match Milerock, on 12 points, will meet Victoria Kings, who are on 11 points.

Spearheading Topp XX’s lineup will be Troy Nelson, Charles Rose, Michael Crandon and Trevor Watermon while  Adami Hoyte, Tonie Lopes, Garlan Lewis and Marvin Griffith will lead Seawall’s response.

Milerock’s formidable line up consists of Marlon Maxius, Gerald Whittington, Randy Jerome and Randy Small. The Kings will be relying upon the combination of Aubrey Gibson, Rasleigh Morrison, Kwesi De Souza and Winston Pompey. First round action will culminate on Wednesday with a lone match at the MSC Ground, Linden.
