The members of the Positive Vibes Sports in collaboration with the Enterprise Bikers Club will stage an Independence Day motor cycle grass track championships today at the Paradise Playfield, East Coast Demerara.
The competition, which begins at10am, will see competitors from Enterprise Bikers Club throwing down the gauntlet to other riders from the East Coast.
According to a relapse from Aaron Blackman, public relations officer of Positive Vibes Sports, “the motor cyclists have been training for the past three weeks and are expected to entertain the fans with very skilful riding.”
Blackman said proceeds will go towards the construction of a community centre on the Paradise Playfield and will assist with the preparation of the playing surface in an effort to stage football and cricket matches.
Trophies and cash prizes will be presented to the winners and runners-up.
